I have attempted to rent twice from there an never will try again. A couple years ago, I went in to rent a wood splitter. Picked it up and got home to start splitting. The splitter had a bad hydraulic leak and covered me in fluid. Took it back and got another that barely worked at all but I was up against time, so I used it.
This past week I called on Friday to reserve a splitter for the next day. I arrive, pay for it, and hook up. This time I had the guy test it before I took it. It looked brand new and in good shape, but as soon as he pulled the lever it covered him in hydraulic fluid. a fitting was broken. They failed to test it with 24 hour notice, screwed me out of being able to find another (they had no more and everywhere else was closed), and 3 days later, my money still isn't posted back to my account. When I wanted the refund, the man behind the counter was very grumpy about having to "restart the system" to return my money. I will never be back and I advise everyone to try elsewhere.
Have rented many things from this company in the past with no problems, the last few things I have rented have been less than properly maintained, the owner seemed to to get really offended when I was trying to express my concerns with the equipment, I do plan on renting equipment in the future but I will look some place else next time. If you own a service business you own a responsibility to your customers that reflects the appreciation of their business, by providing the best of what you can provide, what you do provide is only a true reflection of your real character.
