Kiln Born Creations is a must do if you live in or are visiting Easton. We loved the atmosphere and the wonderful staff. It was great visiting you. One if the highlights of our road trip!
Just know that when you go spend hours creating a work of art and get over charged at Kiln born creations there's no telling how it will turn out once they get their hands on it. I understand sometimes things happen but not 3 out of 4 times! This was a result of a complete lack of experience, training, handling and care!
Once we completed our project we paid which much to my surprise the $10 deposit was not deducted from the $48 total so the project was actually $58. Then we all chose the same finish for our projects which we would anxiously wait 2 weeks to see. We received a phone call that our pieces were complete. We rushed up to pick them up only to be completely disappointed. Out of the 4 of us 1 was perfect, 1 was alright (we will call it unique) and the other 2 were a complete disaster. Mine being one of the disasters was completely misshapen, not resembling a vase or the example at all, and there was also a burnt bubble on the bottom from "too much glue." The other disaster had been broken and then tried to be fixed but when we mentioned it they proceeded to lie straight to our face and tell us that it was the finish we requested, but none of the other had 3 distinct crack lines in them and we all chose the same finish.
So I was told they could refund my money but I could not have my masterpiece that they ruined. I also could not have my $10 deposit back because that was the fee for the very poor instruction we received.
I am a single mom who never gets a break. Crafting is my favorite past time so I decided to splurge for a night. I put down my $10 deposit, got a babysitter and went to Kiln born creations with some friends to make the $48 seaglass vase.
So needless to say I will never be visiting Kilnborn creations again. I am out $10, babysitting fees but most of all my masterpiece and a wasted once in a blue moon kid free night.
This is a fun place to channel your creative talents. You will have a great time whether painting pottery or creating glass pieces.
There were quite a few no shows to the class, with that being said we got started. There was not enough tools for everyone to even have 1 type of tool each (now imagine if everyone had showed). We were told to use a small amount of glue to hold the glass in place as they would be moving it several times. The first piece of glass I glued down I asked the instructed if it was too much she said, "no it is fine." I spent the next 4 hours creating my masterpiece out of SCRAPS that they provided. Every time we asked if they had anymore of a certain color or some larger pieces we were told no.
The staff did nothing to try to make it better or make me ever want to come back. The owner was very defensive and nasty over the phone (once we finally got her on the phone). I am totally disgusted and completely disappointed with this entire situation and how it was handled.
Just an awesome experience for my son and the parents lol. Welcoming and offered so much help to my Son with his 1st experience touching wet clay. Can't wait to come back and paint it..
Even better than the works of art you can create is the staff that works here. They are so nice and helpful. My daughter and I love going in ever so often to see the new seasonal clay art that's available. The camp they put on over the summer is also really great. My daughter goes almost every summer for a week and is always sad when it's over. This past summer she came home with a whole shopping bag full of awesome creations.
